File Layouts

It is important to the success of your data project that we receive a data file layout and the fields that you want used in your project. 

Preferred Data File Types:

• ASCII Text (encapsulate each field in quotes)
  • Comma or CSV
  • Tab
  • Fixed Width - Table Format
  • Any other delimiter
  • Each record must contain a carriage return line feed at the end of the record.
• MS Excel (any version)
• MS Access (any version)
• dBase or FoxPro  (any version)
• EBCDIC - a code consisting of 256, 8-bit characters and used for data representation and transfer

Non Accepted File Types:

• MS Word Tables
• MS Works
• LOTUS 1-2-3
• Word Perfect Tables or Data
• Paradox
• QuatroPro
• SYLK, VisiCalc, DIF - Data Interchange Format
